- Carrier Team leveraged the Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ platform to streamline their Quote Process by B2B vendors for HVAC equipment and Annual Service Contracts.
- The sales cloud platform was extended, and the sales order process was customized. When a Sales Order was realized it was found that the tax calculation was predetermined, lacked support for variable tax rates for different product group and exemption management was manual process leading to significant delays to finalize the order before process and invoice by SAP.
- Carrier was seeking an automated process to streamline and ensure compliance across system.

- People Tech Salesforce Consulting team reviewed the existing process, identified the bottlenecks, operational delays & impact on the Sales Order Process and proposed for implementation of OneSource Tax Connector for Sales Cloud.
- The team mapped the Sales Order and Sales Order Line-Item details necessary for taxation to standardized tax request and integrated Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Cloud’s Indirect Taxation Service right within the Sales Order flow to ensure proper taxation is processed at header and line level in Sale Order.
- Product catalogue in Salesforce was streamlined for taxation with mapping of the product against US Sales Tax Product categories enabling the correct taxation for equipment and service.
